Music Provision
As well as music taught as part of our curriculum, we also offer small group and individual music tuition. Our visiting music teachers teach a wide variety of instruments including the following:
- Brass – Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba
- Guitar
- Keyboard
- Piano
- Strings – Cello, Violin, Viola
- Ukulele
- Vocals
- Woodwind – Clarinet, Flute, Recorder
In many cases, an instrument can be borrowed from school in order to practice between lessons. Your child is responsible for the care of the instrument. It is possible to begin lessons in piano and guitar without initially having your own instrument by arranging to practice in school.
We have strong links with Springwood High School and our musicians have performed with other primary schools in the area.
As well as creating our own musicians we invite international musicians to inspire and educate our children. We work in collaboration with Norfolk Music Service, Classical Music Rocks and the music department of WNAT to give our children a range of musical experiences.
