Our school raised an impressive £2,586 for The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House last month, making us the biggest fundraiser among the schools that took part in the charity’s Rudolph Run – and earning us a visit from the charity.
There were Christmas biscuits, decorations, party games and even some elves when Gaywood celebrated the festive season with our end-of-term Enrichment Day.
It was Christmas at its most traditional when our school joined the others in the West Norfolk Academies Trust to host a carol service for members of the community.
It was run, run, Rudolph, when our children took part in a special festive fundraising event, along with those from two other schools from the West Norfolk Academies Trust, of which we are a member.
Gaywood Primary played host to budding musicians from across West Norfolk, when they came together at our school to display their talents and perform as one large orchestra.
Our children joined those from five other primary schools in the area to commemorate Remembrance Day at a performance in front of an audience including veterans from the armed forces.
Pupils at our school put MP James Wild through his paces when he visited and questioned him on everything from climate change to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

Talented young dancers from our school joined others from five other West Norfolk primary schools to celebrate one of the UK’s most popular children’s authors, after the performance had to be postponed last term due to the heatwave.
Public speaking can be daunting for anyone, but pupils in our school rose to the challenge and won a competition challenging them to argue on issues from climate change to handheld technology.
