Festive fundraiser at Gaywood
There was a festive feel when pupils at Gaywood Primary swapped their uniforms to support a charitable cause.
Our children were taking part in Christmas Jumper Day, Save the Children’s annual fundraising appeal.
Pupils across all year groups at the school, which is a member of the West Norfolk Academies Trust, joined members of staff in sporting Christmas-themed jumpers, tops and accessories for the day.
Everyone participating was invited to make a donation to Save the Children, with the school hoping to top last year’s total of £193.
Christmas Jumper Day began in 2012 and has since raised more than £35 million for children in the UK and worldwide, with £5 million raised in 2022 alone, when over two million school children and 24,000 workplaces took part.
